Close your eyes, Take a deep breath,
breathe in, breathe out,
Pause for just a moment,
What do you see?
Do you notice the warm glow of the world around us?
Or do we still see the cold, cloudy darkness?
Darkness like where you laid before light rose this morning,
Cold and sharp like stone before the first rays of the day started dawning,
Do you still hear the mourning, that filled our hearts on this bitter bitter weekend,
When will the week-end and the weak be strong again?
Did you feel the cold? Did you see the dark? Did you taste the Bitter?
Well today please,
Breathe in, breathe out,
And Open your eyes
What do you see?
Do you notice the warm glow of the world around us?
Do you see the warm start to a new week rising in front of us?
How did you sleep, how was your bed?
Did you notice the cuddle of your blanket? Did you notice the cuddle of your pillow beneath your head?
Did you hear the whisper beside your ear?
The still small voice speaking hope and overcoming fear,
Open your eyes,
What do you see?
Do you notice the warm glow of the world around us?
The warm touch of the ground, the soil, the earth, the dust,
Did you hear the warm whisper of creation groan,
Did we feel the warm glow of the world showing us we are not alone,
You are not alone.
Do you see the warm glow of the world around us?
Look around us,
What warm glow do you see?
What faces, what warm blooded creatures might there be?
Maybe a cute little cat, or a dog or a rabbit,
What warmth and what good do you see that these creatures so naturally inhabit,
What stories can you hear? What stories can you tell?
Open your eyes, open your ears?
What do you see?
Do you notice the warm glow of the world around us?
This morning, the last and the next morning cold as it may be,
But each day shows us there will be light and warmth we can wait, and then see.

What do you see?
Did you not notice the warmth of the world around us?
Did you not see the light of the risen sun, rising, beneath us?
Do you feel the warm glow of a new day beginning to move into motion,
Do you see the first fruits we harvest from our own once broken emotion,
Open your eyes, your ears, your hearts to the precious gift of warmth developing in your mind, in your clarity,
Feel it rise from your depths inside your own humanity,
What warm glow do we notice in the world around us?
Listen for the still small voice that calls out to us.
Share what warm glow of the world you might notice beneath us
Know Christ is present, below, outside, above, beside and in us,
Risen to life in them, in they, in those, in that, in there,
And in us.
Open your eyes and notice the warmth of the world around us.
